Her honesty opened the door to something greater. What she offered was an opportunity to grow in compassion; what I provided were tangible resources to ease her burden. In that exchange, something meaningful was created—we shared our hearts.
That moment became the foundation of Share Your Heart, Inc. As I continued speaking with other young mothers and hearing the challenges they faced, it became clear they needed more than a basket of essentials—they needed a community of support.
From that realization, the seed was planted for The Essentials Program, transforming a single act of care into a growing commitment to support families during life’s most vulnerable moments.
